About me

Kia Ora,

My name is Ben, and I’m a Wellington based pianist. Initially from Ōtautahi Christchurch, I started learning classical piano at a young age, moving to studying jazz at university.

I graduated from the New Zealand School of Music with a Bachelor of Music majoring in Jazz Performance in 2022, as well as completing my ABRSM Diploma in Piano Performance in 2016.

I am currently working at the New Zealand School of Dance as a pianist for the ballet school. I also do some private piano tutoring.

As well as being a professional pianist, I am also a composer and a sound designer. I regularly do composition and design work throughout the Wellington theatre scene.
